**WHS BURSARY 2020** Winner Announced

After much deliberation and discussion, the steering committee have decided to grant only one bursary award this year from a strong field of candidates.

Given the current circumstances we will be establishing a Covid-19 Hardship Fund rather than awarding a second bursary.

Many congratulations to Dr Sarah Kenny, currently a Teaching Fellow in Modern History based at the University of Birmingham. Sarah researches youth culture in Sheffield during the 1960s-80s. She will be conducted archival research on young women, alcohol, and leisure in 1960s Glasgow, when it is safe to do so.

The WHS Bursary will be offered again in 2021 and we would like to encourage postgraduates, early career researchers and independent scholars working in Scotland or working on Scottish themes to apply.
